ISSN/E-ISSN
The International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) is an eight-digit number that defines as such periodic publications, including digital serials.
The ISSN takes the form of the ISSN acronym, accompanied by a hyphen divided by two groups of four digits. The eighth character is a control digit determined on the basis of the 7 preceding digits according to a modulo 11 algorithm; this eighth control character can be an "X" if the computational result is equal to "10" to avoid ambiguity.
The ISSN is linked to a generic version of the specified serial name, known as the "main title," which repeats the publication title, distinguishing it with additional elements to differentiate it from other similar title publications.
